Appraisals

 Types of Appraisals:

The most common type of appraisal we provide is an appraisal that determines Retail Replacement Value.  The purpose of attaining an appraisal for insurance purposes is to make sure you are covered in the event of a jewelry loss.

Estate and secondary value appraisals are also provided, depending on your needs.  These types of appraisals are for the purpose of determining value to settle an estate or selling items in the secondary market.

Jewelry Expert

It is important to have an accurate and current appraisal for your jewelry.  We recommend contacting your insurance provider to help determine your needs.  If you are unsure of the type of appraisal you need, have additional questions about the appraisal process or would like to schedule an appointment, please call us or stop by.

 Appraiser's Credentials

The accuracy and weight that an appraisal carries is directly proportionate to the education and experience an appraiser has.  Our appraiser is a graduate gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).  Our Appraiser has extensive knowledge in jewelry bench work and casting techniques.  She is a member of several appraising associations that encourage ethical and accurate methodology in the US.  She is a published author in her field and has decades of experience appraising fine jewelry.

 By Appointment

No one wants to imagine that a loss will happen but losses do happen.  Allow us to help you to be prepared and protected.  Our appraiser does in store evaluations once per month.  Give us a call to schedule an appointment.

We recommend bringing your jewelry in a few weeks before your appointment so that it may be cleaned and inspected for any repairs needed.
